The Meaning of Tarot.
Tarot is a Sanskrit word called Taras, voyage, referring to life as a journey and how to continue on your destination. The other word is Tara, which is translating to asterism, passage, knowledge, communication between man and the universe, a sacred text and ancient wisdom hidden from the world. However, if you look hard enough, you will find this hidden knowledge in different symbolism everywhere. You can find it among Tarot, Gypsy cards, chess, Buddhism, philosophy, and if you look carefully, you will find this treasure within you. Although most of this ancient knowledge is lost and hidden, only fragments left for us to learn from in the form of Gipsy Cards and Tarot.
Tarot consists of two groups: the twenty-two trumps (Major Arcana) and the fifty-six suit card. Trump again can be traced back to the Sanskrit language, 'trmp' means dialogue with the universe. Minor Arcana are pictures that represent life, stages and experiences we all go through. It meant to be the story of one's journey through life.
